Realme is a Chinese smartphone brand which is focussing on mostly budget smartphones. It was launched in 2018, and has very quickly managed to make a spot in the budget smartphone segment.

It is just two years of existence and they have managed to launched pretty impressive smartphones since then. It is competing against its budget smartphone manufacturer peers like Xiaomi Mi, which was once known the king of budget market.

Recently, Realme launched yet another budget offering known as the Realme Narzo 10. It is launched for a price point of INR 12,000 which seems quite impressive for the price tag. But does it stand strong at the price point, lets help you make a decision.

Realme Narzo 10

Like we said, Narzo 10 was launched a week back and came in with an amazing spec sheet at the price point. You will hardly find any budget smartphone offering similar specification as Realme Narzo 10.

Narzo 10 comes in with two color variants namely, That Green and That White. Yes, no clue why the “that” is needed but seems like Realme’s way to grab your attention.

So let us dive in to the important aspects of the smartphone.

Realme has really managed to bring out their A-game with a budget offering and yet a premium-looking design. It has vertical pinstripes pattern on the back. It seems like moving from side to side when you bring the phone under light. It has a quad camera setup at the back and a waterdrop notch in the front screen. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back which somehow seems to be unreachable due to the overall screen size and screen to body ratio.

It still has some bezels on the front, but that is negligible and shouldn’t be much of a problem.

It has a 20:9 aspect ratio which makes this one a little narrow and taller. It is more hefty than its peers, thanks to the 5000 mAh battery.

It also sports a Gorilla glass 3 protection, which is a great addition for screen security. On the bottom, there is a single stereo speaker, 3.5 mm jack and the good-to-have USB Type C port. Always makes you happy, doesn’t it?

The Power button is on the right and the volume rockers can be seen on the left side of the phone. Perfect placement, by the way. It also comes with a dual nano sim slot and a dedicated memory card slot which is a sweet spot.

The surprise element of Realme Narzo 10 is its processor. It sports a MediaTek Helio G80 processor which is aimed at smooth gaming experience. It has two 2 GHz ARM Cortex-A75 cores for power and six more Cortex A55 cores for efficiency. MediaTek states that it can dynamically manage the CPU, GPU and memory based on heat, power, and the demands of different usage scenarios. It is just the matter of time that we find out more about its capabilities and if it stands up to its word.

This smartphone came up with a unique proposition of offering one single variant with no base variant or high-end variant. A great move to avoid too much competition and confusion within its own brand. It has only variant with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Good move!

Now comes the disappointing factor and that is the screen. It comes with a 6.5 inch display with a HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixel resolution.

You can find a better screen on Samsung Galaxy M21 which offers FHD+ display with 2340x1080 pixels. Plus, it also has a 6000 mAh battery at the price range of INR 12699 available on Amazon.

Narzo 10 comes with a 18W fast charging support which is again one of the features making this budget offering more powerful.

One of the problems with this smartphone is the bloatware. It has a bunch of bloatware that it comes with out of the box, even after denying the installation of sponsored apps in the start. But the good part is, you can easily uninstall the bloatware with traditional method.

Narzo has 48-megapixel primary camera, 2 megapixel macro and depth sensors. The numbers look great on paper and the final verdict cannot be just given basis the on-paper numbers. Most low cost phones are coming with these little utilities but they do have their own limitations. The front 16 megapixel AI camera is also good at the price range. It supports slow motion video recording, panorama mode, and time lapse too.

Final Thoughts…

The smartphone looks amazing at the price point and sure to kill the market for sure. The specifications look good on paper and some of them are really good considering the performance factor, thanks to the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. We have put down our views in this article based on the overall spec-sheet and following some credible sources. It still has stiff competition from Samsung M21 and Realme 6. Do check them out too before you buy this one.
